Meet Irene, a 3-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a show-stopping brindle coat, snowy white-socked paws, and a personality as radiant as her coloring. She’s the perfect blend of dainty and spunky—equally happy curled up in your lap as she is trotting proudly on a walk or engaging in a lively game of tug-o-war.

Irene is whip-smart and charmingly playful. Ask her, “Where’s your piggy?” and she’ll proudly retrieve her beloved pink toy every time. She thrives on affection, enjoys car rides, and absolutely lives for her daily walks.

This lovely girl is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccinations. She’s also potty trained (outdoors and on pee pads!), leash trained, and a dream to have in the house. Irene gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and people of all ages, and weighs in at just 12 pounds—making her an ideal companion for just about any home.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Irene's adoption fee is $450, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period.
