If you’re looking for a low-maintenance lovebug who’s mastered the art of relaxation, Ruger is your guy. This 4-year-old black and white Staffy is the definition of chill—a true connoisseur of sunbeams, soft beds, and slow mornings.

Ruger’s favorite activities include:
- Lounging in the sun like a retired beach bum
- Chewing on his bones in between meals
- Snuggling like a pro, especially if you have a cozy couch or a warm lap

He’s crate-trained, leash-trained, potty-trained, and knows his basic commands—what more could you ask for? He’s also respectful in the house, making him the ideal roommate.

This sweet boy is wonderfully social and enjoys the company of other dogs. He’s also a restaurant patio regular and behaves like a perfect gentleman in public.

And that nub tail? It’s his signature look. After a bug bite led to amputation, Ruger embraced his new style—and trust us, he embraces the bougie "Boxer" look.

Ruger is microchipped, fully vaccinated, neutered, and has completed treatment for heartworms. He’s expected to test negative at his next annual check.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Ruger's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
