Meet Valerie – Sweet, Sassy, and Deafinitely Perfect
Breed: Mixed
Age: Young Adult
Size: Medium
Special Trait: Deaf – but hears love loud and clear
Valerie is the total package: gentle, affectionate, playful, and beautifully in tune with the world around her—even without hearing it. Originally adopted as a puppy from Dallas Animal Services, Valerie found herself returned through no fault of her own. But she hasn’t let that dim her joy one bit.
Valerie’s love language is all about touch. She’ll rub against your legs like a cat or gently crawl into your lap just to give you the sweetest kisses. She doesn’t jump for attention—she leans in, literally. Whether she’s nestled by your side or roughhousing with her pup pals, Valerie radiates warmth and joy.
Valerie’s Greatest Hits:
- Crate, leash, and potty trained
- Excellent with dogs – they adore her tomboy charm and happy-go-lucky energy
- Loves cuddling, snuggling, car rides, and working for treats
- Knows how to communicate without sound—watch her eyes, her body language, her heart
- Fully vetted: vaccinated, spayed, heartworm negative, and microchipped
Valerie is one of those rare souls who makes every creature feel seen and safe. Her next family will be incredibly lucky to have her sweet, intuitive presence in their lives.
Looking for a deaf dog who hears you with her heart? Valerie’s waiting to meet you. Fill out an application and come say hi—she may not hear your voice, but she’ll feel your love. Our adoption application can be found at: CRAPrescue.org/application
Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Valerie's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period.
