Apollo

Apollo had a rough landing into this world, but sure steals our hearts with his bright eyes and goofy smile. Apollo was found in Houston in November, the victim of a hit and run (see picture of the tire marks across his abdomen). He has undergone several surgeries and is clearly a grateful boy. At one year old and almost 75 lbs, this low rider is such a lovable hunk. He has lots of play energy and loves to cuddle with his people. We think he'd be a total socialite at breweries, farmers markets and dog-friendly events. Apollo is dog friendly and people friendly. He has been extremely receptive to training to help him learn leash manners and appropriate introductions with new people and dogs (think kids waking up mom and dad on Christmas morning). We will happily convey his training to any interested adopter so that his skills transfer seamlessly. Apollo is crate and house trained, and rarely barks. He is also now totally healthy -- you'd never know that he had been run over. Apollo has been in a loving foster home since November and is ready to find his forever home. We think he'd do well in either an apartment or home setting, with daily walks and light daily training to keep his mind exercised too.
