Sydney/Millie

Millie is the most gentle, loving girl. At about 1.5 years old and 45lbs, she is the perfect size. Millie's docked tail accentuates her adorable wiggle butt: she practically dances her way over to greet friends and strangers alike. Millie is a quiet dog and is very easy to please. She knows basic commands, walks beautifully on a leash, and is kennel and house trained. When in public, Millie calmly sits near the feet of her human. She will never rush you or and is the least demanding dog we've ever met. She simply enjoys your company and is along for the ride, whatever that may be. Speaking of, Millie rides perfectly in the car and tolerates trips both long and short. She is the epitome of man's best friend.

Millie came to us from the Dinosaur Valley State Park where we were enjoying a family day trip. A park ranger approached us and asked if we would rescue Millie, who had appeared at the park three weeks prior. The ranger reported that the local animal control would not help due to her being found outside of city limits. We, of course, took her in.

Update 10/2023: Millie, now Sydney, has been adopted by the most loving retired family. She simply fit into their routine as if she had always been there. She enjoys camping, hiking, piano serenades, and daily walks in Pittsburgh.
