Meet Mariano! Mariano’s story is one of strength, sweetness, and second chances. This 5-month-old shepherd mix went last call at Dallas Animal Services due to a fracture in his leg. Thankfully, surgery wasn’t needed. With crate rest, love, and plenty of TLC, he’s made a full recovery and is now ready to live the joyful life he deserves.

Mariano is the total package — loving, gentle, and perfectly balanced between chill and play. He’s fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative, so he’s ready to start his next chapter with a forever family.

He’s also an A+ student in the manners department: house trained, crate trained, great on a leash, and loves car rides. Mariano knows when it’s time to relax and when it’s time to play, fitting right into any rhythm of home life.

Best of all, he’s incredibly dog, cat, kid, and senior friendly. Mariano is a true social butterfly who loves everyone he meets.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Mariano's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
