Meet Matilda! This two-year-old Pug mix is pure sunshine wrapped in a compact, curly-tailed package! Found as a stray in Dallas, Matilda clearly knew love once — and she’s ready to feel it again. She’s the kind of dog who instantly makes a house feel like home.

Matilda is the perfect house guest: potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. She’s the perfect combination of polite, bubbly, and sweet. Her favorite pastime? Cuddling. If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy who melts right into your arms, Matilda’s your girl.

Matilda LOVES all people. She's truly never met a stranger. She also adores toys and enjoys carrying them around, prancing around showing off her plunder. She loves meeting new dog friends and is friendly with cats. Matilda is 100% tail wags and kisses. She loves walks, car rides, visiting new places like patios and dog parks, and simply entertaining herself a home.

Besides her excellent temperament, Matilda is a gorgeous girl. Her tail has the most perfect little curl and her underbite is irresistibly cute.

Matilda is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loving, and low-maintenance best friend, Matilda is waiting to meet you. Apply at CRAPrescue.org/application.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Matilda's adoption fee is $450, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
