6-year-old Max is an Italian greyhound with the snuggliest velcro demeanor. If you're looking for a leggy grey boy to be your lap dog and shadow, Max is it. He wants nothing more than to snooze in your bed on late lazy mornings and cuddle up for Netflix and chill in the evenings.

Max knows the things a dog should know. He walks well on a leash, goes potty outside, isn't destructive in the house, and likes the occasional walk. He doesn't have big energy needs and would be a perfect companion for an empty nester or retired family. He loves everyone, but bonds especially close to his chosen humans.

Max is dog friendly and has coexisted well with felines. He has been around chickens and parrots without issue. Max is also good with kids, but does prefer lower energy tiny humans.

Max is up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.

Max came to us as an owner surrender. He was obese and wasn't having his needs met in the home. Over the past few months, he has been on a weight loss journey. He happily traded the calories for cuddles and has simply eaten up the affection in his foster home. Max is now ready to find his forever home where he will be snuggled and praised like the good boy he is. If Max could be the snuggle bug of your dreams, apply to adopt him at CRAPrescue.org/application.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet/the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Max's adoption fee is $300, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
