Penny

Penny is a gorgeous 4-year-old cattle dog mix with striking markings, light eyes, and the kind of personality that makes people fall in love fast. At about 45 pounds, she is the perfect medium-sized companion: smart, sweet, affectionate, and always ready to be part of whatever her people are doing.

Penny is bubbly, loving, and eager to please. She has a bright, happy spirit and a wonderfully gentle temperament. She loves working for treats, already knows basic commands, and is always happy to show off just how smart she is. Whether she is learning something new, enjoying a walk, or curling up for snuggles, Penny gives everything her whole heart.

This beautiful girl is house trained, crate trained, and great on a leash. She is also wonderful off leash and has the kind of attentiveness that makes her such a joy to be around. Penny truly wants to be a good girl, and it shows in everything she does.

Penny is wonderful with people, including kids, and she enjoys the company of other dogs. She would do well with another friendly pup, but she also has the confidence and people-loving nature to thrive as an only dog. Her dream home is simply one where she is loved, included, and appreciated for the gem that she is.

Penny is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She has also completed heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet/the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Penny's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Ohio, we can arrange transportation. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions. We are also happy to share references of our amazing adopters.
