Meet Skipper, a stunning brindle pittie girl with a heart as big as her personality. Weighing in at a perfect 42 pounds, Skipper is equal parts charm, resilience, and joy.
Skipper came to us after being accidentally struck by a kind Good Samaritan’s vehicle. That same compassionate person searched tirelessly for her owner and ultimately made sure Skipper got the surgery she needed to repair her injured foot. Thanks to that act of kindness, Skipper is now fully healed and truly good as new. She has since been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is heartworm negative.

Skipper is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. She adores pets, cuddles, and car rides, and she’s happiest when she’s close to her people. She also loves chews, enjoys working for treats, and has a blast playing with her dog friends. She can get a little enthusiastic when treats are involved, but she responds well to gentle reminders and is eager to please.

This girl is crate trained, impressively quiet, and walks nicely on a leash. She’s a good listener with a bright, engaging personality that makes her easy to fall in love with. Skipper would do best in a home with older children and does not struggle with separation anxiety. She would be perfectly content as an only dog, but she also enjoys canine companionship and could happily live with other dogs. We’ve noticed she tends to prefer male dogs or more submissive female dogs.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Skipper's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
