Suzie

Meet Suzie, a one-year-old Catahoula (possibly Border Collie) mix with striking bright blue eyes and a personality just as beautiful as her looks.

Suzie spent 40 long days in a city shelter with no adoption interest. At one point, an out-of-state family promised they would come get her… but they never showed. Despite the heartbreak, Suzie never lost her hopeful spirit. She seemed to know her escape was coming. On 3/14, she finally got her second chance when she joined our rescue, and she has been the most grateful little goober ever since.

Suzie is the total package. She loves car rides, adores other dogs, happily spends time with cats, and greets her humans with the sweetest big kisses. For a Catahoula mix, she’s quite petite at just 50 pounds, and she carries herself with such gentle, dainty manners.
This girl is truly an all-star dog. She has beauty, charm, and impeccable manners. Suzie is crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and has excellent house manners. But more than anything, she loves attention; even more than food! She thrives on affection and will happily spoil her people with endless love.

Suzie is, of course, fully vetted. She has all of her core shots, is microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. She's ready, on all fronts, to start her next chapter.

Suzie has a joyful, innocent spirit that makes everyone who meets her fall instantly in love. She’s the kind of dog who reminds you why rescuing shelter dogs is so special.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Suzie's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
