Meet Taz! Taz is a gentle, tender-hearted boy with the sweetest soul and the softest way of moving through the world. He has a dainty play style, wonderful manners, and the kind of quiet, loving presence that makes a home feel peaceful.
Taz may be a little shy when meeting new people, and while we do not know exactly what his past looked like, it is possible this sweet boy has known abandonment or mistreatment. Because of that, he needs just a little patience in the beginning. But once Taz realizes he is safe, he blossoms into the biggest cuddle bug.
And goodness, is he worth the wait.
Taz loves being with his people, soaking up pets, carrying his toys around like they are his precious babies, and relaxing nearby like the loyal little shadow he is. He is incredibly gentle with his toys, generally very quiet, and only occasionally barks during playtime. He is also wonderfully smart and eager to please. Tell Taz not to do something once, and he listens like the good boy he is.
Taz is medium-low energy and does not ask for much. He enjoys playtime and short walks, but he is happily tuckered out after a quick 10-minute stroll. He is a total gentleman on leash, rides well in the car, and loves water so much that baths are actually one of his favorite things. His least favorite place? The vet’s office... and honestly, fair.
Taz is house trained and crate trained, and he sleeps peacefully in his crate every night. He is dog friendly and can be cat tested upon request. Because he can be nervous around children, Taz would do best in an adult-only home where he can feel safe, understood, and loved at his own pace.
Taz has already had his glow-up after having his noncancerous masses removed, and now all that is missing is the loving forever home he deserves. He will be neutered on 8/17 and is otherwise up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
If you are looking for a quiet, loyal, affectionate best friend who will reward your patience with his whole heart, Taz may be your perfect match.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet/the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Taz's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
