Thumper

Meet Thumper! Thumper is a 3-year-old, 60-pound tripod Boxer mix with a big smile, a fat tongue, and an even bigger love for life.

This happy-go-lucky boy is goofy, sweet, playful, loyal, and down for just about any adventure. Whether it is a car ride, a romp with dog friends, a toy session, or flopping down on a cool floor with a big bowl of water nearby, Thumper is simply thrilled to be included.

It is hard to believe that a dog this joyful has spent so much time waiting. Thumper was in boarding for a year, then spent another three months at a shelter after the vet who had been caring for him sadly passed away. Suddenly, this sweet boy was left without a place to call home.

But if Thumper has been heartbroken by it, he sure has not let it steal his sparkle.
This resilient guy has taken every change in stride. It is nearly impossible to wipe the smile off Thumper’s face. He greets the world with enthusiasm, sweetness, and the kind of infectious joy that makes everyone around him feel a little lighter.

Thumper loves other dogs and loves all people. He is a big, affectionate boy who may be a little unaware of his size and very much believes he belongs in your lap. He can be cat tested upon request for an approved applicant.

Thumper loves chews, toys, treats, car rides, cool floors, and all the simple pleasures that make life good. He does pull a bit on leash, but nothing extreme, and he is eager, happy, and ready to keep learning with his forever family.

Thumper is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
This tripod Boxer boy has waited long enough. He is ready for a home of his own, a family to adore, and a life full of love, laughter, adventures, and very generous water bowls.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet/the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Thumper's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
