Meet Winnie: the 11-Month-Old Sunshine Sprite! This 12-lb Bichon Frise-poodle mix is pure joy wrapped in a fluffy little package. Winnie may have started her journey as a stray in Tennessee, but she’s now thriving in DFW and is ready to find her forever home.

Winnie LOVES her time outside. Think cheerful romps, sunbathing sessions, and proudly serving as the unofficial neighborhood watch. She’s a spirited, social girl who enjoys the company of medium- to high-energy dogs and would do well as an only pup or in a home with playful canine siblings. (She’s still learning that senior dogs don’t always appreciate her youthful enthusiasm!)

Inside the home, Winnie is just as wonderful. She’s crate trained, reliably potties outside, and adores being near her people. With her zest for life, affectionate nature, and curious personality, she brings brightness wherever she goes.
Winnie is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She will be spayed before adoption is finalized.

Winnie has had a Wisdom Panel DNA test to know her breeds and she is:
58% Bichon Frise • 17% Mini/Toy Poodle • 7% Chihuahua • 5% American Cocker Spaniel • 5% Shih Tzu • 2% Pomeranian • 2% American Eskimo Dog • 2% Maltese • 2% Australian Cattle Dog

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Winnie's adoption fee is $450, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
